BANKS
Banks are open from 08.00 am to 02.00 pm excluding weekends. ATM facilities are available.

BUSINESS CENTRE
A business office providing fax and photocopying facilities is located on the mezzanine level of the Athens Hilton Hotel.These serves are available at your own expense.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
As a prove of participation the Congress Secretariat will provide all registered delegates with personalized certificates of attendance.

CREDIT CARDS- CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Most major cards (AmEx, Dinners Club, MasterCard, and Visa) are accepted at hotels, department stores and some restaurants. The Greek currency unit is Euro. Please note that identification (passport) is requested when exchanging money.  All banks in Greece are authorised to convert foreign currency to Euro, as are the foreign exchange centres found at the main squares (Syntagma and Omonia).

CLIMATE
The average temperature in June ranges from 26C to 30C (78F to 82F).

CONGRESS BADGE
For security purposes, delegates, speakers, accompanying guests and exhibitors are asked to wear their name badges to the scientific sessions and social functions. Entrance into sessions is restricted to registered delegates only. Entrance to the Exhibition will be limited to badge holders only. If you misplace your name badge, please go to the Registration Desk to organize a replacement.

The Organising Committee, EHS and C.T.M. International accept no liability for injuries or losses of whatever nature incurred by participants and/or accompanying persons, or for loss, theft or damage to their luggage and/or personal belongings.

DUPLICATIONS -RECORDING
Photography, audiotaping, video recording, digital taping or any other form of duplication is strictly prohibited in the sessions and poster area. Permission to record Industry Sponsored Special Symposia should be sought from the Congress Organizers.

ELECTRICITY
The electrical supply in Greece is 220 Volts,AC 50 Hz.

INSURANCE
The Organizing Committee or W.S.R.M. will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained or for loss or damage to property belonging to congress participants, during the congress or tours. It is recommended that participants arrange their own personal health, accident and travel insurance.

INTERNET CORNER
Internet Corner will be located in the Exhibition Area.The internet corner will be open during exhibition hours and is free of charge for delegates.

LANGUAGE
English is the official language of the Congress.No translation will be provided.

LETTERS OF INVITATION
Delegates requiring a letter of invitation to attend the congress should write to the Congress Organizers. Please note that a letter of invitation should not be considered as an official invitation covering fees and other expenses and is only provided for visa purposes.

MOBILE TELEPHONES
Delegates are asked to switch off their mobile phones when in sessions

PASSPORT AND VISAS
Citizens with EU nationality can travel with any form of ID and may remain indefinitely.Visitors from all other countries should check with the Greek embassy or consulate in their country of residence as document requirements may vary. Delegates requiring a letter of invitation for visa purposes should write to the congress organizers.


E-POSTERS
E-Posters will be displayed next to the exhibition area for the duration of the Congress.

SHOPPING
Most stores in central Athens are open from 09.00 to 21.00 during the week except on Mondays and Wednesdays when they close at 15.00. On Saturdays shops are open from 09.00 to 18.00.

SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is not permitted in session rooms or the Exhibition area.

TIPPING
Tipping is a general custom in Greece. Service charges and taxes are included in accounts by hotels and restaurants. At any time, tipping is your choice.

TOURS DESK
The Tours Desk, located in the registration area, will be open at the same time as the Registration Desk.The staff at the Tours Desk will be happy to assist with any queries about Athens and will be selling tickets to day tours and post congress tours.

TRANSPORTATION
Athens public transportation network allows easy travel around the city.Taxis can either be booked by telephone or hailed from the street.
